TREK - 11 May - Mount Ortigara

 

Length 12km - elevation gain +650m - Medium-High difficulty.

 

Special Gathering of the Alpini in Vicenza. A nice walk through all the main and sacred historical sites of the First World War. We will reach the summit of Ortigara and walk along ridge paths that range from alpine meadows to beautiful broadleaf forests.

 

What to expect:

 

We will not have difficult climbs nor equally steep and uneven descents.

 

The duration of the excursion is about 7 hours.

 

The route is suitable for everyone with minimal training in walking.

 

Minors allowed if accompanied and aged 12 or older.

 

Dogs allowed only on a leash and with prior notice to the guide.

 

Mandatory equipment:

  • trekking shoes or boots
  • technical backpack with adequate capacity
  • rain jacket
  • windbreaker
  • 1.5 liters or more depending on your hydration needs for refreshing drinks
  • snacks and packed lunch as there are no support points along the trail.
  • layered clothing suitable for the season
  • sunglasses

 

Trekking poles if you are used to using them.

 

AMM Guide accompaniment fee Veneto Alpine Guides board 25 euros.

 

Minors 10 euros.

 

Friends of the Alpini or ANA members 20 euros.

 

Participants: Minimum 4 - Maximum 12

 

A 50% deposit is required in advance. Payment methods: Paypal, Satispay or bank transfer.

 

Full payment on the morning before the excursion.

 

The excursion is held in almost any weather.

 

The fee is fully refunded only in case of the guide's indisposition or environmental conditions that jeopardize the safety of the group.
