organized trip in collaboration with 3 CIME DOLOMITI VIAGGI

The Annapurna trek has been considered for decades as the most beautiful hiking circuit in the world.
Varied landscapes offer a perfect combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Every step reveals new wonders, daring terraced fields, rhododendron forests, up to the breathtaking views of majestic glaciers that brush against the white giants standing out against the blue sky. The villages along the route welcome travelers with the warmth and hospitality typical of the Nepalese people, offering the opportunity to immerse yourself in their unique traditions and customs.
Along the way, the smoke of burning juniper in the temples mixes with the murmur of mountain streams, creating an ecstasy that accompanies trekkers on paths of reflection and contemplation. Evenings spent in local Guest Houses around the fire, sharing stories with other trekking enthusiasts from all over the world, add that touch of sharing that enriches the whole experience.
The 13-day journey includes a visit to vibrant and contrasting Kathmandu, followed by 8 days of walking, covering about 100 km for a “shortened” trek in the Annapurna Range (8091 m). However, there will be no shortage of spectacular views of the majestic Manaslu (8163 m) and Dhaulagiri (8167 m), we will reach Kicho Lake (4620 m) and cross the Thorong La Pass (5416 m), the highest in the world. At the end of the trek, towards Pokhara, on the shores of Lake Phewa, we will treat ourselves to a rejuvenating Nepalese-style massage or a well-deserved toast, before returning to Kathmandu on the last day to celebrate the achievement with a dinner and local dancers.
Taking on the Annapurna trek is not only a challenge, but also an inner journey that leaves an indelible mark on the heart of those who undertake it. Those who have done it carry with them unforgettable memories and a deep gratitude for having been able to admire one of the wonders of the world.

Detailed program:

B&B treatment in a 4* hotel.
Day 2
Departure at 9:00 from Kathmandu to Besi-Sahar with a private van (about 7 hours with stops).
Leaving the crowded streets of the capital, we will cross various villages on Nepalese roads, often unpaved and rough, sometimes overhanging the river below, until we reach Besi-Sahar for some rest and overnight stay.
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 3 (4h - 7Km - 300m ascent)
From Besi Sahar we will take a jeep at 6:00 to reach Tal (about 4 hours) at 2600 m, which will be our starting point for the first warm-up trek after a light lunch.
We will begin on the Nepalese trails, partly along the recent carriage road and partly on small paths, crossing the rural villages of the Manang valley up to Dharapani (1860 m).
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 4 (7h - 17km - 1100m ascent)
From Dharapani to Chame (2650 m). In the morning, the trail climbs steeply for about 3 hours, gaining 500 m until the village of Timang, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, another 3 hours of walking on flat terrain through pine and fir forests will take us to Chame. As we get closer, we will enjoy a spectacular view of Annapurna II. Chame is the center of the Manang district and here we will find many lodges and have time to explore the village.
Half board treatment in Guest House. Day 5 (8h - 19Km - 1450m ascent)
From Chame to Ghyaru (3730 m). Here the air becomes cooler and the path brings us closer to the mountains through a beautiful forest of rhododendrons and pines, following the Marsyangdi River to the village of Bhratang. After this village, we will climb among the pines to Dhukure Pokhari, a place with views of Chulu (6584 m) and Pisang (6091 m). After a lunch break, we will continue to the village of Ghyaru, the last ascent that we will tackle at a slow pace before having dinner and spending the night.
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 6 (7h - 17Km - 500m ascent)
From Ghyaru to Manang (3519 m). Rest day for the legs, we will walk on flat ground after two challenging days. The walk will take us to the village of Hongde, where the trees will disappear, giving way to arid landscapes with a cold, dry arctic climate. Before reaching Manang, we will visit the ancient monastery of Braga, rich in Buddhist relics, and then an hour's walk will take us to the village of Manang. The houses in Manang are built in Tibetan style and the community is known for its culture and rich traditions.
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 7 (7h - 15Km - 1150m ascent)
Day dedicated to acclimatization to high altitude. We have several options given the two expert guides accompanying us: the main one is to climb to Ice Lake Khico at 4620 m, or visit the Milarepa caves at 4390 m with a view of the Gangapurna glacier. We can choose between these two options or stop to rest lying in the sun that bathes the valley.
(recommended to avoid problems with high altitude to undertake one of the two proposed treks.)
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 8 (5h - 12Km - 750m ascent)
From Manang to Ledar (4200m). Once acclimatization is complete, the morning walk will take us to the village of Ghunsang on a gently ascending path to Yak Kharka, a high-altitude trek with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. We will cross a small stream to reach Yak Kharka, a tiny settlement with an extraordinary view of Gangapurna (7454m), Annapurna III (7555m), and the Chulu peaks (6584m). From here, we will walk for less than an hour to our overnight stop at Ledar, a very small village with charming lodges overlooking grand views of Chulu West (6419m) and the other high peaks of the Annapurna Circuit.
Half board treatment in Guest House. Day 9 (5h - 6Km - 700m ascent)
From Ledar to High Camp (4600m). In the morning we will walk along high trails trodden by locals with yaks and donkeys, reaching the base of the pass. After a climb along the riverbank, we will arrive at the last village of Thorang Phedi, and an hour's ascent will take us to Thorang High Camp, where we will spend the night. Before going to sleep, we will climb up to the pass to reach 5000m at sunset.
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 10 (7h - 14km - 580m ascent)
From High Camp to Muktinath (3800m). The main day of the adventure begins with breakfast at 4:30. The trek resumes to climb to Thorang-la, following a steep and winding path up to the pass at 5416 m, the highest point of our journey, which offers extraordinary views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Afterwards, a long descent will take us to Muktinath, located at 3800m. Here we will stop for the night in a place sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists; Muktinath means "place of Nirvana or Liberation".
Half board treatment in Guest House.
Day 11
From Muktinath to Pokhara. We will leave early in the morning with a jeep that will take us to the lively city of Pokhara (about 6 hours of travel). After a refreshing shower, we will have the opportunity to explore the commercial streets of Pokhara or treat ourselves to a delightful massage before enjoying a Western-style meal. It is the perfect moment of relaxation for a trekker.
Half board treatment in a 4* hotel.
Day 12
From Pokhara to Kathmandu. Last day of adventure. Leaving the comforts of Pokhara, you will feel a bit sad at the thought of leaving wonderful Nepal, torn between the desire to stay or return home. We will take a private van that will take us from Pokhara to Kathmandu, with a journey that will last about 8 hours, to the capital before our return to Italy. Once we arrive in Kathmandu, a party with typical dishes, drinks, and folk dancers will await us.
